Obstacles unveil us significance of life. Obstacles along the way, adds more weight to our efforts, especially in Vivekananda work. Yes I’m talking about the event “Swamy Vivekananda Akka Nivedita Sahitya Sammelana(#SVANSS)” recently took place in Mangalore. Leftists had their efforts to stop the program in all possible ways. They were against promotion of the program, said wall paintings will spoil the good look of Mangalore; they might have forgotten they had similar kind of promotions earlier. They even managed send few to scrub the postures. Nothing worked in there favor.  They not even had the common sense that they have to erase their postures before they decide to take out #SVANSS postures; they received nice response from society for their activities & stopped themselves from doing it. Agitation were there as always; in spite promotion on the program went well all over the state, in fact it was better than the conference meet organized by govt. Could be in response to this accomplishment, Nexals supported writers had objections on having  S.L.Bairappa as chief to district level literature conference.  The writer who had slippers in his hand became the topic for discussion at state level. People realized the significance of #SVANSS due to this. People started coming from all over the state and associated with #SVANSS in huge number.

Leftists were annoyed to see this, who can bear someone else comes in their territory & able to get nice crop? It was not desirable fact. The started with blocking the ways to get the money inflow to the program, projected it as communal fest, said name of the donors will get spoiled if they associate with the program. They even wrote warning letters to Guests not to attend the program. One of the lady guests received 4 page lengthy letter with the content explaining the whole program is going to be unsystematic, there is a doubt on its occurrence. Had calls from Coin booths. Not just to one person, the letters were circulated almost with all the guests. When things didn’t work out one of the leftist newspaper desperately wrote against minister RameshKumar and said gentlefolks would not attend such communal programs. Till that time the things were happening behind the screen and now came to lime light. By the time when we took it as challenge and started addressing all the issues we received a whats app message from one among them. We had no clue about all these till that time, our energy got boosted with all these facts. Just had Vivekananda’s words murmuring “Tell about the number of obstacles you have in your way I can tell you are in a right direction or not”. Had emergency meeting with team the same day evening & discussed how to manage the situation. We had a plan to have parallel sessions in 10 school & colleges till that time, decided to extend the number right after the meeting. Planned well in advance to address the inadequacy of each guests by giving responsibility to dedicated person. Overall responsibility shared with all the members such that there should not be anything left out without addressing and lead to failure.

Saints were all present despite of having many tales to hear. They joined us one by one. Initially had challenges due to inexperienced team to facilitate them but later on they really set their standard in cope up. Volunteers participated in huge number for morning palanquin fiesta, kind of happiness spring-let all around to see the procession. A big satisfaction to see when Mrs.Thejaswini one among the guests became emotional & her eyes rolled tears out with happiness. Rest all movement left to Vivekananda & Nivedita. One of my friends had told people would not stay back for this sort of sessions for whole day, I had replied with strong conviction “The session is not like any kind of party meet-up but it’s for nationalists-organized by nationalists”. Speakers got motivated 100 times to see the crowd in each of the sessions. The literature conferences organized by govt. will have less attendees in participation, in spite we actually won in making the event successful showing our credibility.

The whole event was honored with the presence of  Matha Yatheeshwari Krishna Priya ambaaji, she was the chief guest, has achieved doctorate for her writings presented on Nivedita’s life. She was truly inspiring, some of the SNP members decided to do their Phd on Nivedita’s life indeed added value to the conference. Swamy Nirbhayanandadji with more than 15 saints, Matha Vivekamayi, Matha yoganandamayi with more than 10 pragya’s took part in the event gave divine shade to the event. Mr. Nagaraj.V from RSS & Mr.Santhosh from BJP narrated on Vivekananda & Nivedita’s contributions in freedom fight. Exhibition outline designed by volunteers themselves was the point of attraction to all. Many were so excited to take snap with Vivekananda, seems to be like having coffee with Swamiji. Getting invites for having mini literature conference meet at Taluk level. We had decided to have final program in Belgavi, but due to literature lovers pressure the final program is going to happen in Bangalore. Poetry on love has no more importance in youth. Now there is a demand for literature on revolutions. The literatures which shows right path to the youth, this was proved in this conference.
