Amnesty international acted as a stage for those who shout against India. Police force got enraged against the students who protested. There was Lathi Charge done, also there was blood shed. Few days back it was same police force which charged against farmers who begged water. Many of them were sent behind the bars. Due all these reasons common mass is enraged against the police force. The officer who orders, the minister who controls the police department and the CM who is above all these are never questioned. There were instances of government which was dissolved which went against students or farmers. Probably this is the only government which is still in power going against both.

The attitude of government is so arrogant as that of Chief Minister due to which Police department is made as Scrape Goat. None of the policemen defends their actions against farmers or students. Unfortunately he is been portrait as culprit. These were not an extempore but a well pre-planned actions of government. Irrespective of their political parties entire Karnataka supported the police protest which was done few months ago. Everyone feared about the failure of state defence system. It was for the first time the front line constables warned the higher officers and ministers. It was then Home Minister called for a press meet and compared the protest to Sepoy Mutiny during British rule and thought of suppressing it.
On the day of strike everything was peaceful. Most of them attended their duty. Not even the wives of the policemen were allowed to protest. This happened because the man who headed this protest; Shashidhar, was arrested in the mid night by 30 – 40 policemen.

Yes, there lies the question. Where is Shashidhar now? What happened to him? How is his family? None of the media tried to investigate about this. Why nobody talks about this man who fought for police?
The demands that were put up lead by Shashidhar were been supported by whole state and most of them were fulfilled. What was the mistake of Shashidhar? Why police department neglected him? Isn’t it be questioned?

This was not the first time Shashidhar behaved as now. He joined police department in 1979 after completing BSc and diploma in journalism. He was the one who gave the major clue in Rashidh murder case during home ministry of RL Jalappa. Then started the troubles of higher officers. He was made an accused in a murder case. He was made stand in court in sandal wood smuggling case. Finally he was dismissed from his job. Now he got to know about the consequences when he went against the government. Father was a employee in the same department while son has lost his job.

Now Shashidhar tried his luck in journalism. He started a paper called ‘Aarakshaka Vani’. But he couldn’t make any gain out of it. Perhaps he might have got married around same time. He started real estate business in order to lead life. He was not able keep himself away from police department. He had contacts from constables to officers. Many came to him with problems and he was trying hard to solve it. ‘Aarakshaka Vani’ was a failure and yet he started another paper ‘Police Word’ and stood as a voice of many policemen. He was capable enough to get the solution through court since he has studied law.

Naturally, the front line policemen chose Shashidhar to lead them and he agreed. He agreed even though he was aware of the consequences. The thought and spirit of Subash Chandra Bose and Bhagat Singh in him didn’t allow to turn around. He remained unmoved even many officers and political leaders tried to convince him. But Shashidhar was jailed together with other prisoners. Sometimes he was accompanied by Rowdies in the cell. He was rejected to have food that was brought from his home. He was not treated well. The doctors dressed him as casual mental patient in NIMHANS. Well Done! What a treatment for a man who fought for justice…!!! He was again jailed after the examination of Jayadeva hospital. There are movements under progress so that he do not get bail at any cost. The members of his family are suffering without reason. They are fighting in court with the help of well wishers and friends. These happened just 3 months ago and society has completely forgotten.

Definitely, there are reasons to tell these. The policemen are driven by force. They are ordered by higher officers and government. Even policemen has patriotism in them. Even he has cried seeing the charges against farmers and students. There could be some who would not ate anything seeing the charge.

The government which demolished unauthorized houses along ‘Raja Kaluve’ is deviating the issue towards the students when it comes to the matter of big guns. Our doubt lies in this context. With the matters of charge against students the topic of ‘Operation Raja Kaluve’ is been made to forget. At the same time common mass got enraged against police department.
It is disastrous that we, Shashidhar are the scrape goats of Dirty Politics.
